Performs technical tasks contributory to design, development, manufacture, installation, operation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment, either independently or under the direction of a qualified engineer.

Designs and advises on electrical equipment and systems, and plans and supervises equipment installation, operation and maintenance; suggest electrical components and devices to be used in products.

Plans and coordinates product development throughout the design, costing, scheduling, tooling, debugging and production stages; investigate manufacturing technology to improve plant productivity, quality consistency, operational flexibility, and supply chain resiliency, etc; liaises with customers and coordinates with various departments and suppliers/vendors to ensure the project could meet target requirement.

Directs the design, modification and development of products, to meet clients’ specifications on technical, aesthetic and economic factors.
